Economic Corridors Under China's "OBOR Initiative" (One Road One Belt Initiative)

China is immensely expanding its economic horizons to the rest of world with a progressive rate and soon it seems to overtake the international market, trade, and economics. Following are the economic corridor details on which China is holding and working to grasp a route for them to the third World.



  • China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor (CMREC)
China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor (CMREC)The initiative and idea to start this Economic Corridor was proposed by China in September 2014 during a first mutual trilateral meeting with the heads of three countries in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.On June 23,2016, the three countries signed the developmental plans for the proposal. it was first multilateral cooperation plan to inform part of the Belt and road Initiative.It was a network between Mongolia, China, and Russia to share a mutual role in seven major Areas of cooperation: transport infrastructure and connectivity; Port construction, and customs and border Inspection and quarantine services; Industrial capacity and investment; trade; cultural and intrahuman exchangers; environmental protection and cooperation with adjacent regions.Although, Transport was the main focus.

  • New Eurasian Land Bridge



The China's planned international passageway between Atlantic and Pacific.This international route follows coastal cities of Lianyungang and Rizhao to Holland's Rotterdam and Belgium's Antwerp.The total length of the passageway is 10,800km long rail link through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany and it serves more than 30 countries and regions. The construction of associated highways, Power transmission lines and ports is progressing in a steady manner.

  • China-Central Asia-West Asia Economic corridor (CCWAEC)

Through this corridor, China creates a giant network with Arabian peninsula. The fathom region is covered generally by the trajectory of ancient Silk Road.
The corridor originates from China and traverses Central Asia before reaching the Persian Gulf, the Meditteranean Sea, and the Arabian peninsula. It crosses five central Asian countries and 17 other countries and region in West Asia(including Iran, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia)
